Crowns and bridges

Crowns protect a tooth that needs a full cover. Bridges replace a missing tooth using neighbours. Both are laboratory work. We explain the alternatives, including implants or leaving a space.

Restorative consultation · about 40 minutes

Request a consultation
A pale restoration on a dark stone surface, architectural rather than clinical.

Who it may suit

People with a broken, root-treated or heavily restored tooth, or a gap they would like to close without a removable denture.

The consultation

We examine the tooth, the neighbours and the bite. You see material options (ceramic, and others where appropriate) without a promise that any restoration is permanent.

Typical process

  1. 01 · Diagnosis and a discussion of options, including doing less.
  2. 02 · Preparation and a scan or impression.
  3. 03 · A temporary restoration while the laboratory works.
  4. 04 · Fit, bite check, and a review visit.
